It's that time again! Fall classes have been scheduled! We are super excited to be offering these classes!

Exploring Lightpainting

There are many types of photography that are construed as lightpainting. This class will explore photographing subjects of interest in complete darkness using other means of light. This type of photography accentuates curves, lines and points of interest on the subject creating photographs that can be described as ethereal and magical. Students should have a basic understanding of how their camera works.

Materials Required: Students will need to bring a camera that is capable of longer exposures (up to 30 seconds), a remote cable release, a tripod and a flashlight. Students may also bring an object to photograph. The dates for the classes are as follows:

A Different Perspective - Photographing Outside the Box

Students will delve into the world of photography through a different perspective. They will explore using crystal balls, magnifying glasses and the use of zoom burst photography. Class will be held at Towerhouse Historic District at Whiskeytown National Recreation Area. There is a picnic table near the parking lot that will be the initial meeting place. From there we will venture down to the Camden House area and the creek. The dates for the classes are as follows:

Photographing Fall Colors

This class will address basic landscape photography. Hopefully, the fall colors will be coming out so we can practice photographing those!
