Rain, Rain, Go Away, Come Again Another Day

So, as chance would have it, we have had a couple of requests for some beach scenes so Mike and I decide to plan a little trip to Trinidad on the coast to take care of these commissioned works. All week we watched the weather reports. It was looking good. Weather people lie.
We went over on a Friday. We decided to stay at a little place in Trinidad called Emerald Forest. I had stayed before in one of the cabins but never in the RV spots. It is a cool place. I highly recommend it!
Despite the rain, we got some good shots. I am loving my Lensbaby lens. We made a run up to Prairie Creek State Park. The redwoods were amazing with the rain.
We currently have a show at Highland Art Center in Weaverville. It runs until July 2nd. A lot of the photographs in that show are from the coast. We have some of Mike's wildlife photographs in the show as well.
After Prairie Creek we headed to the Trinidad Pier. There are so many neat things to photograph there.
The next day was absolutely gorgeous. We headed to Moonstone Beach.
Overall the trip was awesome! I was frustrated a first because of the weather but it shaped up to be beautiful!
