She's a Lady, She's a Bug!

Every January Whiskeytown and surrounding areas are the locations for the ladybug migration! This is an amazing experience if you have never seen it.

I ran into a lady bug migration about ten years ago out at Whiskeytown. It was the coolest thing! Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera with me and my time was not my own so I never made it back to photograph them. Well, fast forward ten years.

Now I have seen posts from Whiskeyton NRA that there are lady bugs up the Brandy Creek Trail. I found mine up past the El Dorado Mine. I went back to the location that I had seen them at ten years ago and guess what? They were there again! I had a field day.
