The Best Pizza Ever!!!
So when our friend Val found out we were visiting her home state of Idaho she told us we had to stop and have pizza at this one place. She sent us the Money Magazine article claiming it was the best pizza in Idaho and step by step instructions on how to get there. I don't know about you guys but when someone tells me that they know where the get the "best" of anything I am skeptical! Well, while in Cour d'Alene Mike and I decided to go ahead and give this place a try. It was in a town about 25 minutes away called Hauser. The restaurant was called Embers by the Lake. At least they had a cool name. We didn't hold out much hope that it was the "best", I mean come on, pizza is pizza right?
Ok, Val was right. Not only is this pizza the best in Idaho, I would go as far as to say that it is the best in California as well! This girl knows her pizza. It was hands down the best I have ever had.
We got there relatively early and it was already packed. That's a good sign! They said it would be a while to get a table so we opted to sit at the "pizza bar". In my opinion that was the best seat in the house! This allowed us to watch them build these masterpieces and throw them in there super cool pizza oven.
I shoot with an Olympus Micro 4/3 camera. I know that is Greek to most but to those that know cameras, you know how little these things are. They fit in my purse. Much to Mike's dismay. It's not unusual for me to whoop out my camera and grab a couple of shots! This was one of those times!
Not only was the pizza amazing, the staff and owners were the nicest people around. They went as far as to send us home with some extra pizza. They claimed they messed an order up but I'm pretty sure they liked us!
After pizza, we returned to the trailer and I tried my hand at some long exposure photography along the Spokane River.
If ever in the northern Idaho area be sure to stop by and partake of the best ever pizza!
